The work is an original painting - Hand Scored Pigment on Archival Paper.
Creating the work on paper was an intentional conceptual choice, to reference the seemingly robust, yet delicate nature of democracy.
AP#3 includes a printed copy of the original 21 Flags essay, penned by Los Angeles art critic Molly Enholm.
